HB 8 - NAMING SHELBY'S WAY PEDESTRIAN UNDERPASS Number 0902 CHAIR MASEK brought House Bill No. 8 before the committee for the first time, "An Act naming the pedestrian underpass at Montana Creek on the Parks Highway as Shelby's Way." REPRESENTATIVE HUDSON noted that there is an ongoing, non-resolved lawsuit with the State of Alaska involved in this bill. It was his recommendation that HB 8 be tabled for now until there is some indication by the Department of Law that further action would not adversely affect the state's position in that lawsuit. Number 0946 REPRESENTATIVE HUDSON made a motion to table HB 8 to the action of the Chair. REPRESENTATIVE HALCRO seconded the motion. CHAIR MASEK noted no objection, and HB 8 was tabled to the call of the Chair.
